Scarlet Hibiscus (Hibiscus coccineus) is a magnificent large-flowered variety with rose-red petals that allow the green-yellow calyx to shine through at their narrow base. Flowers are up to 20cm across! This herbaceous perennial prefers moist soil and dies back during the winter.
