Description

Mandevilla 'Alice du Pont' (Mandevilla x amabilis; formerly: Dipladenia) is the largest of its family in everything: its pink, funnel-shaped flowers reach up to 10 cm, its elliptic, deeply textured, dark green leaves are the largest, and its growth is the most vigorous. In one season, the shoots of this fast growing climber can easily reach several meters. They can be wound around a trellis or be directed along a wire in order to add some green to the walls of a winter garden. Given sufficient supply of water and fertilizer, 'Alice du Pont' produces flower after flower as soon as and as long as the temperature is constantly above 15 °C. It needs only little light and even in partially shaded areas produces many flowers.
