Syzygium cordatum (Water Berry) is evergreen and water-loving. The tree, which grows to a height of 8-15 m and develops a spreading crown when old, is often found near streams or in swampy spots. The leaves are reddish while young, later they turn green. They are elliptical to circular, bluish green above and pale green below.
