Plant-production, shipment AND office are all located in the greenhouse of FLORA TOSKANA under 5.000 square meters of glass.
Despite the fact, that it's nestled within agricultural fields, the site of FLORA TOSKANA has perfect connections to two Interstates. We reach A8 and A9 within five minutes driving time.
Flora Toskana is specialised on sending plants by packages and parcels since nearly 20 years now. We are no garden center, but open 24 hours via Internet-Webshop.
FLORA TOSKANA is a professional plant producing company. We grow parts of the sortiment by ourselves, repot, cut and acclimate the plants in various ways by handwork.
The first part of our glasshouse is used on demand: When necessary it hosts a truck to unload new plant, subserves as a warehouse or harbors prepared parcels before shipment.
With a sortiment of over 650 different plant species, each botanic quarter hosts a colourful mixture of international floral stars.
The "control center" of Flora Toskana for customer-service, order-handling and packaging issues is completely integrated within the glasshouse: short ways are efficient.
The greenhouse of FLORA TOSKANA is seperated in four parts. The so called temperate house mainly contains plants from South Africa, Australia and South America, minimum temperature: + 2 °C.
For the huge sortiment of Citrus FLORA TOSKANA reserves a whole compartiment of 500 squaremeters, minimum temperature: + 3 °C.
As a lot of exotic plants endure frost, the so called cold house of FLORA TOSKANA stays unheated all year round to keep the plants hard and resistant.
Warmth loving or tropical plants are accomodated in the so called Warm House, such as Bougainvillea, Hibiscus or Alocasia, minimum temperature: + 12 °C.
Before FLORA TOSKANA moved to its current premises in 2004, the company was founded 1998 in Ulm in a very small, rented nursery. A wooden garade served as the packaging place.
To keep the distances short, the owner does not only work within the glasshouse, but also lives in an appartment under the glasshouse roof. The greenhouse serves like a huge winter garden.
