The variety ‘Star Ruby’ with its red fruit pulp grows well branched and robust. By the weight of the fruits, the branches often bend down at the tip. There is only little to no fluff at all on leaves and twigs (influence of grapefuit). The flowers are big (4-5 cm) and form appear in a large cluster, usually at the branches’ end. They have an intensive fragrance that can be perceived from far distance. Fruits are round, the peel is yellow or sometimes orange. In contrast to other grapefruits the fruit pulp is red-coloured, very aromatic and juicy.
