Among all the different Eucalyptus varieties, the Red Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus ficifolia) shows the most beautiful flowers of them all. They are fire-red and consist of many filaments sitting circular on the typical cup that later ripens to the seed vessel. The leaves are grey-green, large and - depending on the sun’s intensity - surrounded by a reddish edge.Eucalyptus is a very fast-growing and very water-consuming plant that is worldwide used for reclaiming land by forestry.
